"All the king's horses and all the king's men…"

Well, they could focus on putting Humpty Dumpty back together again because we don't need their help for the barricades this time round. Yes! The band known to cause the infamous barricade breakage at 2007's Singfest have found their way back to our hardcore shores. Californian metal band - Avenged Sevenfold(A7X), has landed in Singapore once again. This time round, to perform for their own headlining show and to a slightly tamer crowd.

Press Release:

THE BEST OF ASIA’S HOTTEST, UP AND COMING MUSIC ACTS IN SINGAPORE FOR EXCLUSIVE FILMING

Next week 42 bands, solo artists and songwriters from all over Asia will converge on Singapore for their chance to gain a place in the Grand Finals of the new broadcasted music talent show, SUTASI.

Launched last year in Bangkok, SUTASI is the search for up and coming, contemporary Asian music talent. It provides the opportunity for talented artists to become international music superstars by launching them on a worldwide stage.

The rockers from Bristol, UK, are possibly more popular in Taiwan than they are back in their hometown. Transition is no stranger to music festivals in Asia, having played at the Spring Scream Festival in Taiwan and other famous venues in Japan. Having finally arrived in Singapore to play for Baybeats, Transition is ready to win over more fans with their delicate harmonies, infectious guitar riffs, and sing-a-long choruses. Audioreload caught up with Jesse, Niall and Josh after their smashing acoustic set at the Observation Deck.

Those of you who caught Joy Electric's electrifying set at the Nokia Powerhouse late last Saturday night probably also remember how the crowd went positively wild and metamorphosed into an impromptu rave party à la ZoukOut, much to the chagrin of the auxiliary police personnel on standby.

Oft-raved about electro/synth-pop outfit Joy Electric has, with the release of each of the ten studio albums, twelve EPs, and countless collaborative projects under their belt, managed to thrill and inspire countless listeners both in and out of America. Currently a one-man act starring Ronnie Martin, the California-based outfit is well-respected within electropop circles for their innovation and the timelessness of the music they've given the world for the past fourteen years.

Here's what Audioreload managed to get out of Ronnie Martin, the man who stirred up the closet ravers in all of us that fateful Saturday night!

At Baybeats this year, Audioreload had the opportunity to catch up and chill with one of the new acts making their Baybeats debut at the Chillout Stage, The Karl Maka. Made up of part-time civil-servant, Jonathan Foong, and part-time advertising executive, Ken (who reportedly does everything), the duo have been making their presence felt lately; featuring alongside Analog Girl at the RSC Block Party, and even making international model/host, Debbie Wong, squeal in delight!
